Word hit the media that Charlize Theron and Brad Pitt are dating and it hit us like a ton of bricks. We’ve all speculated on the kind of girl that Pitt would end up dating next and how could we not? He's dated and married two very high profile and awesome leading ladies in the past, and it looks like he's just snapped up another one. Not that we are surprised one bit. Brad is a gorgeous megastar and we weren’t believing for a minute that he was going to settle down with a regular woman. He had us fooled for a minute, though.
There are a ton of questions going around about the Brad-Charlize situation, like how on earth did these two meet? And, what do his exes think of his new choice? There are children involved on both sides so we’re assuming they are taking things slowly.

20 They Have Been Dating For A Month
That’s like a year in Hollywood, so it’s a good start for the two of them. One thing is for sure, they will look great on the red carpet together. According to what a source told The Sun, “They have been casually seeing each other for nearly a month now. They’ve been friends for some time—ironically through Sean [Penn]—but things have developed.”
19 They Met During A Photo Shoot
They are both in Hollywood, sure, but unless they do a movie together, it’s hard to imagine that two celebrities would just happen to run into each other and start dating. Brad and Charlize were involved in shooting a commercial together six months ago for Breitling. Apparently, Adam Driver was there as well as some watches but Brad Pitt got the girl.
A source told People, “About six months ago, they did a shoot together. So they have spent time together.”
But we'll have to see if they go from photoshoot to official relationship.
18 Angelina And Charlize Have A Feud
Why are we not surprised? It has been said that Ange is not a big fan of Charlize so we are likely to hear more about that if things get serious between Charlize and Brad. Radar Online reported that the two women have feuded over scripts before and really dislike each other.
“The hate fest between these two started a long time ago and just won’t stop,” the insider told Radar Online. “It’s as though directors are getting a buzz out of playing them against each other, by dangling a script to both of them then leaving them to b**** and slug it out.”
17 Brad And Charlize Are In Their Honeymoon Phase
There have been a lot of denials about the couple since the news broke but when sources are claiming that they saw the two canoodling at an event, it’s hard to ignore such claims. As The Sun reports, the two were at a showbiz function when things started to get cozy. “They were ridiculously touchy-feely and his arm was around her back. At one point he winked at her,” a source told the media outlet.
16 They Both Have Children
There are always children to consider in situations like this. But Charlize has experience in adoption just like Brad does. He has six children on his side while she has two. It’s still up in the air how often Brad gets to see his children since Angelina has been difficult during the divorce proceedings but going on a family vacation with eight children would certainly be an experience if these two decided to blend their families. Are we moving too fast? We can’t help it, it’s so exciting!
15 She Has Not Met His Children
The two spent time together over the holidays and Charlize has visited Brad in his home in Los Feliz, Los Angeles, as The Sun reports. So, things have been taken up a notch regarding their relationship! However, she has not met his children yet. That’s not really surprising as it seems he doesn’t get to spend a whole lot of time with them either.
They probably also want to take things slow. After all, this is Brad's first real relationship since splitting with Angelina.
14 Angelina Was Shopping When The News Broke
It couldn’t have been easy for Angelina to be out on the streets when word of the relationship broke out. She was shopping with her son Pax at the time, as The Daily Mail reports, and was likely hounded by paparazzi over the news. She acted as she always did with a stone-cold expression.
The custody battle between Brad and Ange has been finalized, as Radar reports, and we hope that from here on out things will be easier for them. So far, Ange has kept her opinion to herself about Charlize.

It’s rumoured that Sean Penn, Charlize's former fiancé, was the one that set them up. Charlize and Sean broke up in 2015 after being in a relationship for about two years, but it's clear that they have remained on good terms with each other otherwise a setup between Charlize and Brad couldn't have happened. Maybe Sean sees some potential there so he decided to play matchmaker.

While Brad and Charlize were at the showbiz function where they were seen getting closer, what's really telling is that it seemed like they were on a date. As The Sun reports, Brad had gone to watch If Beale Street Could Talk in a private Hollywood Hills home and Charlize was a guest at a showing of Roma in Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. A source told the media outlet that Brad went to see Charlize at Chateau afterwards, he changed his clothes and then joined her in a "corner of the bar."
11 He’s Sticking To Celebrity Women
Many thought that Brad would follow his friends George Clooney and Matt Damon and date someone who isn't in the spotlight. He had been linked to MIT professor Neri Oxman and we thought he might be leaning in the direction of avoiding another actress in Hollywood. Oxman denied the rumours and eventually, it became clear that the two were not going to be involved.
“I can’t see Brad dating someone super famous again, I can definitely see him dating someone with a lower profile,” a source has said, as The Daily Voice reports.

Charlize is not the kind of woman that needs a man to care for her. For the most part, she has been raising her two children on her own. Her last public relationship was with Sean Penn almost four years ago. Whether she has been technically single this whole time or not, she hasn’t been serious enough with anyone to go public with it. The same goes for Brad, so now may be the perfect time for something serious to start between them.

We think that the best relationships bloom from being friends first and that seems to be the case with Charlize and Brad. They met six months ago and yet they didn’t rush into anything. It’s likely they talked for a while and took their time to think about things before starting to date. As a source told The Sun, they have been friends for some time "but things have developed."
3 It’s Not A Casual Thing
Not only have they been spending a lot of time together but it’s unlikely that they are having some kind of fling. If that had been the case, they would've rushed into a relationship six months ago when they met.
Besides, it's not Charlize's style.
As IOL reports, Charlize has said, “I am a relationship girl. That's kind of just how I'm made." She also told People she prefers the old-fashioned way of meeting someone. "I just like a good old friend hooking you up, or, I don’t know, introducing you. I’m so old school.”

Brad has stated that he will always be there for his children, and clearly both he and Charlize are making sure not to rush into anything for the children's sake.

Usually, when a new celebrity couple breaks the news, there are all kinds of denials. In spite of all the evidence showing that they're dating, there's still word that Brad and Charlize are not, in fact, romantically involved. A source told Entertainment Tonight,
“Brad and Charlize have known each other for years and recently became even better friends after working together. They enjoy each other's company and connect on many levels. Brad and Charlize have a lot of mutual friends and share their love of acting, but neither of them are ready for a serious relationship right now.”
