If the celebrity world has taught us anything, it's that being engaged does not mean getting married. At least, not for a while. Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth were first engaged in 2012. It took them until Christmas 2018 to actually get hitched.
Paris Hilton and Chris Zylka? We got the engagement, but we never got the marriage (she's "keeping" the $2 million ring – "it's mine," she told TMZ). JLo and Ben Affleck? Same deal. Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian had a baby, but their engagement fell through.

Not much in 2018 topped the drama between Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thomspon. You don't need to be told that The Daily Mail filmed Tristan being a terrible boyfriend just days before Khloe was due to give birth. You're probably more than aware that Kim called the situation "[messed up]" on The Ellen Show.
Khloe and Tristan welcomed baby True in April 2018. The drama that came with it? That was less welcome.
Working on their relationship will likely be the biggest challenge of 2019 for these two. A proposal? That might need some time.
19 Waiting: JLo & A-Rod, She's 49, Plus They're Basically Perfect Together
We haven't seen many celeb couples as perfect for one another as Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez. Less than two years might not sound like the world's longest relationship, but things are different when you're over 40. Hollywood Life reports:
Jen "makes Alex a better man, she completes him," A-Rod has " just got to find the right moment to propose. He wants it to be absolutely perfect."

With no holiday pics together since getting back together in 2018, Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik are doing one thing– filling the internet with rumors that they might have split again.
The year 2016 is when this supermodel and pop icon first got together, Billboard reports. "lol you're not Zayn Malik" made for epic tees back then, but the #OnOff hasn't been steady.
A "flyin back to my happy place" selfie caption from Gigi of herself and Zayn made it #BackOn in 2018. Zayn has called Gigi an "incredible soul," Elite Daily reports, but is the relationship strong enough?
17 Waiting: Dove Cameron & Thomas Doherty, "He's The Love Of My Life"
She looks like something even a Kardashian digital editor couldn't conjure up. Dove Cameron is one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood. With a deep heart (enough for Seventeen to report Dove calling Thomas "the love of my life"), this girl was built for romance. Think it's just her?
"I'll even go to Panic at the Disco with you. I don't care. As long as I'm with you,"
was Thomas' IG message to Dove. These Descendants co-stars have been an item since 2017. A proposal would 100% make our year.
16 Waiting: Scott Disick & Sofia Richie, The Guy Finally Seems To Have Grown Up
Scott Disick used to come with the biggest #RedFlag ever. While co-parenting three kids with his ex, Kourtney Kardashian never suggested Scott to be an irresponsible father, it's the endless "spotted with some girl" headlines that used to make us raise that eyebrow.
Scott has been dating Sofia Richie since May 2017, People reports. Christmas 2018 saw Sofia join Scott and Kourt in Mexico.
These two are pretty serious. "Whole heart" was Sofia's IG caption to a pic of the couple in 2018. Scott hasn't always been on his best behavior as a boyfriend, but we can really see it working out between these two.
15 Steer Clear: Kourtney Kardashian & Luka Sabbat, She's 39 And He's 21
#Rebound was most peoples' reaction to the news that Kourtney Kardashian was dating Luka Sabbat following her 2018 split from Younes Bendjima. At 25, Younes was much younger than 39-year-old Kourt. Luka is just 21. People reports:
"It makes her feel good to have these [attractive] young guys who are interested in her."
The magazine also reports that "it's nothing serious right now" regarding Luka. They've been spotted on a ton of dinner dates, but there are already rumors of a split. Then again, you never know with the Kardashians. It's called Keeping Up for a reason.
14 Steer Clear: Scarlett Johansson & Colin Jost, She Doesn't Think Monogamy Is "Natural"
Not many women are prepared to straight-up share their views on monogamy. Scarlett Johansson is a different breed. For her, being with one man forever isn't "natural." Speaking to Vanity Fair, ScarJo said:
"I think the idea of marriage is very romantic; it's a beautiful idea, and the practice of it can be a very beautiful thing. I don't think it's natural to be a monogamous person."
Scarlett has two marriages behind her – Ryan Reynolds and Romain Dauriac. Her current boyfriend is Colin Jost. Looking happy? Yes. Should the guy be getting down on one knee? Probably not.

When a guy seems to have found the right girl, you just know it. Chris Pratt's divorce from Anna Faris may have dominated 2017 headlines, but 2018 was full of his new love, Katherine Schwarzenegger.
There was an Instagram announcement with intimate pics. Katherine has been spotted getting ice cream with Chris and his son. Most importantly, E! News reports that "they have gotten serious quickly."
Chris is 39, while Katherine is 29. "Happy birthday Chief! Your smile lights up the room" CNN reported Chris saying to Katherine for her birthday. An engagement may very well happen in 2019.
12 Waiting: Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton (Even Ellen Thinks They're Engaged)
Move over, 20-somethings. We're looking at a couple who are #Goals on a JLO and A-Rod level, here. Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are the music couple who are so in love, even Ellen DeGeneres thinks they're engaged.
"He told me you're engaged," Ellen prompted Gwen on a 2018 Ellen appearance. While Gwen replied: "No, we're not," Ellen took the question and spun it a different way.
"But when will you get married?" was the phrasing of round two. "I don't know," Gwen replied. Correct us if we're wrong, but that sounds like a "when," not "if."
11 Steer Clear: Blac Chyna & Kid Buu, Two Baby Daddies, You Guess Which One Is Buu
There are no two ways around it. Blac Chyna comes with a #Handful. With way more business-savvy brains than you might think, this entrepreneur is outspoken in everything she does (and every car-topped Instagram shot she takes).
Chyna has a son with Tyga and a daughter with Rob Kardashian. She was engaged to Rob and Kid Buu is her new boo.

This one is almost getting irritating – literally, what is this guy waiting for? Well, according to Travis Scott himself, it's about finding the right way. Travis made his feelings about Kylie Jenner clear to Rolling Stone:
"I need her with me to operate. We'll get married soon. I just got to sturdy up, I got to propose in a fire way,"
As they inch their way towards two years together (and baby Stormi joins them), it's basically just a matter of time for these two. Travis is 26, Kylie is 21, and Stormi will soon celebrate her first birthday. It would be the biggest wedding ever.
9 Waiting: Katie Holmes & Jamie Foxx (It's Been, Like, Forever)
A pale, somewhat-tired face is how we got used to seeing Katie Holmes following her 2012 divorce from Tom Cruise. "Cannot date publicly for five years after Tom Cruise," The Daily Mail reported amid a string of supposed rules that Katie was subjected to.
Katie never confirmed her relationship with Jamie Foxx. That said, they've been spotted looking cozy for over five years. Just recently, they were spotted looking extra cozy (if you know what we mean).
Metro has reported that these two are planning a wedding (with Paris as the location). Talk about #Romantic.
8 Waiting: Leonardo DiCaprio & Camila Morrone, The Casanova Days Are Over
You're looking at Hollywood's elite here. With an Oscar to his name and more female fans than most male stars combined, Leonardo DiCaprio is still topping our #WishLists.
"Over 70 models" was The Sun's headlines when Leo was chilling on a yacht with a ton of women. That was before he met Al Pacino's step-daughter, Camila Morrone.
"They're in love and very serious," an insider told Hollywood Gossip. Keeping well out of sight (and certainly not flaunting their romance on social media), Camila and Leo have been going steady for over a year. A proposal would break every girl's heart, but it would also warm it, right?

Bella and The Weeknd are grown-up enough to make their own decisions. Still, we do kind of want to nudge this rapper in the right direction.
4 Waiting: Dakota Johnson & Chris Martin, When It's Low Key In Hollywood, It's A Giant Deal
Celeb couples have a way of letting us know about their romances – Kylie and Travis, Kim and Kanye, Miley and Liam, and Priyanka and Nick Jonas all have. For a select few, though, low key is where it's at.
Dakota broke her silence on her relationship with Gwyneth Paltrow's ex, Chris Martin, in September 2018. "I'm not going to talk about it, but I'm very happy," she told Tatler.

Riverdale brought us Camila Mendes and Charles Melton in the form of co-stars and a romance. In 2018, Seventeen reported Camila and Charles as official, although you only need to hop to Camila's Instagram to see that.
Charles captions their cuddly Hamptons Instagrams pics "baby." It just feels right.
Now that it's all over between Camila and Victor Houston, could these two be the #EngagementCouple of 2019? The puppy Instagram shots and Korean bbq dinners are definitely going in the right direction.
2 Waiting: Kris Jenner & Corey Gamble, "He's My Ride Or Die"
Nobody thought Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble would last this long. When you're 63 years old and dating a man in his late 30s, you get slapped with a #BoyToy. With these two? That seems like the most unfair statement ever.
Kris has been dating Corey since 2014, Cosmo reports. Yes, he's 29 years younger than her and yes, People quoted him saying "I hit on my second-grade teacher."
That said, Kris has called Corey her "ride or die." Kris wouldn't comment on the ring she was spotted wearing in August 2018. Keeping it hush-hush or is the proposal still pending?
1 Steer Clear: Nicki Minaj & Kenneth Petty, Spends Her Time Defending Him
We need to talk about Nicki Minaj, or rather, her new boyfriend (who already has Nicki's name tattooed on his back). Kenneth Petty has been taking up a lot of Nicki's time lately – mostly, as USA Today reports, with Nicki defending his less-than-savory past.
